Bonfire Night

It comes round every year, fireworks night,
the great park venues draw them in, the people,
the children, witnessing the sparkling light,
the stutter and bang, the whinny and fizzle.

Here we see great genius at work, not in
the merely pyrotechnic brilliance
of the display, but that it is a vision
to all in individual circumstance.

One to one is our experience of the world
collectively, in one experience each
and everything is defined, that places all
in the common mind, distinguished in each.

As the night sky lights up, heads are still
as though it were one display, which in truth
it is, one to one, ever to fulfil
the meeting with our father God at birth.
