You Don’t Have To

You don’t have to make me happy just for one day
If you can’t continue to do so for the rest 364 days.
I don’t need sympathy or compassion from you
I am a lover, but I have some self respect too.
You don’t have to act as if you like me very much
If you don’t like me, it’s fine, I am ok with it as such.

I don’t want you to pretend like you are my boyfriend
But how can you deny that I was once your close friend?
You don’t have to hide things from me in this way,
I can accept simply anything that you wanna say.
But don’t ever say that my love for you isn’t true
Coz even God knows how intensely I love you!
