She had said
Please listen to the sound of Nature
Listen to her whispers
When a breeze sings
through the leaves of the hillside trees
Listen to the thunders
as the lightning strikes

II

Get startled and confused when
You hear nothing
But can watch in fear
A fireball hurtling across the horizon
Splitting into bits and pieces of metal
and a million dreams,
scattered
Billions of hearts shattered

III

Yet the dream continues
With greater resolve
within thousands of young minds
in tiny villages and cities of India
Kalpana!
We would be listening
to the sounds of Nature
and continue to
Explore the fathomless
Universe.
We are proud of you.
We would make you
proud of us, we promise.
