We are on the same coast,
on the same side of the sea
and shall sail over the same waters
to reach the same shore on the other side
We shall cut across the same ripples,
the same waves and the same tides,
shall see the same sun rise
and the same dolphins merrily dive
Why then you sit alone and I, too,
in two separate boats- so near and yet so far,
come into mine and hold the rudder
and we shall push back our small past together
The songs of love again we shall sing,
Our yearning hearts together we shall bring,
Let the rising sun ignite the flame in our soul
And we row into the distant shore with one goal
You have a point, Rupradha. The stem is rooted in the past, and we can make it stronger too. Tomorrow is a new branch on the same tree. Good that you liked the poem. Love to you.

really nice one..I wish we could push back our past like that..but if that past brings new dreams for the future, then I would like to cling to that past which gives a ray of hope for a better tomorrow..
