History of interior lighting
Reveals the “Polycandelon” beauty-
’Cause it’s a forerunner of “chandelier”,
Shining the royal duty!
“Chandelle”, the French word for candle,
Evoked the name “chandelier”-
Whose flickering lights dim or glow,
To bring ecstasy over month and year!

Cavernous interiors of medieval churches
And abbeys across Europe-
Were adored by its charms in day and night,
With unlimited scope!
Palaces and mansions of wealthy
And powerful enjoyed its display-
While the harems and dancers drank,
To initiate the song and play!

Chandelier has a long historical tale,
As its styles have ranged-
Since its inception and regardless of crystals,
Its application has changed!
Spectrum of crystals from a chandelier
Truly mesmerizes our view-
’Cause it’s the fetus of lighting world,
Depicting elegance with a hue!!
