Ganga, Conversing with the Gods!

Just because she is apathetic
To your moods and manipulations,
She possesses the power
To distil your thoughts
Through a cosmic sieve
And reify your spirit
Into an intractable substance
Whose subatomic particles
Enter a broken symmetry
To converse with the gods.

The mighty Ganga arises in the Gangotri glacier and then passes through the fertile Doab region, the impenetrable Sunderban swamps before it enters the sea into the Bay of Bengal. In its long journey it creates regional borders, religious identities and mythical paradigms that are both complex and intriguing.
