Just Because

   She asks him why
He does the things he does
 He smiles and says
 Just because
 He writes little notes
 On pieces of paper
She looks at them and frowns

 She says, why
 And he shrugs...then mumbles
 Just because
 She knows he cares
 And she cares too

Too young to pitch the woo
So he draws things on wall
 Paper, sidewalk too
 Too young to marry her
 So he draws
 Valentine messages on wall
 So she sees
 She says
 "Why you that way"
 He says
 "Just because."
