Valentine's Day

People are celebrating Valentine's Day today
But I am celebrating six months of loneliness,
Separation, sorrow, pain, anguish,
All because one day of love that bloomed
Between us six months ago left me alone;
I am here all alone to moan, to groan,
To be deprived of the love that I wish,
To sigh, to cry, to miss your presence.

People are celebrating Valentine's Day today
But I am celebrating six months of sleepless nights,
Broken dreams, heartbreak and silence,
Flawless feelings, clueless ache, endless stress,
Now I know how one day of love shook my world,
If I have to live the rest of my life like a saint,
I will do so carrying all the pain in my heart
Yet I can’t afford to live without seeing you.

People are celebrating Valentine's Day today
But I am celebrating six months of agony,
Of me and you being so deathly quiet,
Six months of unbearable suffering,
Fathomless solitude, awful mourning
Yet I will always love you secretly, silently,
Today, tomorrow and for the rest of my life!
Happy Valentine's Day, my sweetheart!

Comment I think Rupradha the artist does not describe the personal experience of Rupradha, but empathises the experience she describes. As such she must be congratulated for her artistry, but not sympathised with! - Correct me if I am mistaken!

Comment Months of waiting in loneliness could be a pain... How I wish your wish for union comes true and you enjoy the bliss! Happy Valentine's Day to you, dear friend.
