Dr. Antyakula Nivedita holds a Doctorate in Journalism and Mass Communication from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Her area of research was ‘Culture and Corporate Communication: A Case Study of Two Different Organizations in India and Japan.’ Dr. Nivedita pursued her M.A. in Communication from University of Hyderabad (UoH). She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from UoH. She has also qualified UGC-NET in Journalism and Mass Com and completed her Ph.D. under the UGC-JRF/SRF scheme. Her research interests include Corporate Communication, Culture Communication, ICTs, Development and Democracy, Science Communication, Role of Communication Media in Social Change, and Media Management. As a researcher, her key skills include communication research, content development, summarizing, abstracting, editing, reviewing, proofreading, coordination, liaison, and networking. During her stint as a researcher, Dr. Nivedita published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals. She also participated in various national and international seminars / conferences / workshops and presented research papers on the same.
Dr. Nivedita had a brief stint with teaching. She worked as the Head of the Department (HoD) of Journalism and Mass Communication at St. Joseph’s College for Women (A), Visakhapatnam, where she discovered her flair for teaching and imparting knowledge. Since her college days, she has had a passion for writing – writing that comes straight from her heart! Dr. Nivedita’s inherent zeal for writing made her contribute several feature articles to the Metro Plus and Education Plus of THE HINDU newspaper, Visakhapatnam edition, which was well-received by readers. She has also written on social issues and trending topics for various magazines and online portals.
Dr. Nivedita hails from Visakhapatnam, a Telugu heartland in Andhra Pradesh. Married to a Malayali, who is a Post-Doc, she is settled in Haryana and is blessed with two sons. Now, a full-time mother, Dr. Nivedita wishes to continue her love for writing through her blog posts! :)
