I am Rajini, an undergraduate in Commerce. I am an avid reader of books, English and Tamil. I worked earlier as a Team leader at HCL (BPO) for five years. Then joined Adyar Times, a neighbourhood newspaper. I am a senior edit coordinator. Our paper is a Sunday edition, a free paper, with a circulation of 43,000 copies in Adyar, ECR and OMR in Chennai. It runs on ad revenue. We carry only neighbourhood events, news, cultural activities, people who are achievers and celebrities, school and college events and sports activities.
I write feature articles on institutions, book reviews and events in the neighbourhood. I have conducted more than hundred interviews in a span of ten years with scientists, educators, politicians, artists, bureaucrats, environmentalists and inspiring women.
Writing has been a passion all along, but the nerve to try poetry is very recent, with encouragement from a good friend, who is a part of Boloji community. I would also like to be a part of this Forum. |
