Sweet and Sour

  He composes verses
But doesn't recite it now
Others said this in the past,
You too have complained it now
That his poems are full of
Pain, remorse and despair
And are increasingly
Getting unbearable now.

Life is so strange
And unpredictable in cases
Many have no idea even in traces
If a person loses
Love, affection and friendship
Togetherness and camaraderie
Yet retains trust and tranquil
In life for all
Without any grudge or bitterness
Isn't it fair then
If he composes pain
But doesn't recite it for all.

And don't we agree?
Joy and sorrow
Hope and despair
Sweet and sour
Are two sides of the same coin,
We call it life.
And if pain is so unbearable
Why people say time and again
The sweetest melodies are those
Sung in a voice of pain...!
