Been awhile since I've been close to sea
Building sandcastles, cherished moments
of warm wind teasing me
Wondrous, now surreal
They belong to youthful memory
My castle has crumbled
Ship's wrecked
The sea holds no sound
Surreality has taken over
No one comes around
To seashore of the mind
It is gone and forgotten
Fading in time
Enchanted moments
Once upon a time.
