Private Sector Hanging

On a zero base,
it is easier
to measure happiness
from a hangman’s wage.

Benefit to the nation
is drawn from how
painlessly an innocent
is hung.

Hangman’s awe
takes root at higher places
that sends fear
into your heart
and causes revulsion
into mine.

His job description
is so simple
that worthy
to be hung
do not dispute.

They only lament
the state of
the country’s economy
and question
why hanging
cannot be privatized.
