Inspiration...Thanksgiving...

Life played with me all sorts of games,
Giving it at different times different names -
Challenges, problems, issues they were called,
As I kept on getting more and more mauled...

Whatever they were, I took them head on,
Believing that after struggle, relief will dawn...
My conviction never failed me,
As I carried on with life truthfully...

Whenever I felt depressed for a moment,
I would look at my son’s face pleasant
And would instantly derive strength,
To fight life’s battles of any length...

He showed me the way to live.
He taught me to always give
A little something of what I had,
To those in situations quite bad...

My young son has taught me great lessons.
Be sensible, was his teachings’ essence.
Even today, I seek his guidance,
Whenever hit by some despondence.

Thank you son, for always being there
For me with your love, concern and care...
And please do know that I’m there for you,
Waiting in gratitude to return your due...

Nice poem indeed. Padmajaji, those who have a difficult and challenging times in life, often become tough and enduring and their affection and love focuses on someone, a relative or friend, near or far away in whom such person sees a ray of hope.
