Music for Me...

I float with the sound of music,
Enraptured by its great magic.
Mozart, Bach and Beethoven,
Transport me to a rare heaven.

Soothing to senses and nerves,
Are its notes’ turns and swerves.
The experience of joy and Utopia,
Is provided by musical ambrosia.

Vivaldi’s beautiful ‘Four Seasons’,
To live this life, give me reasons.
As do Ravishankar, Bhimsen Joshi,
Shubha Mudgal and Subbalakshmi.

Music attunes my moods and life,
It soothes me in sorrow and strife.
In my mind it creates a harmony,
And keeps me off all acrimony.

For me music is the life that I live,
For me music is the love that I get.
For me music is the love that I give,
For me music is the norm that I set.
