Prisoner

She is a prisoner
Confined to dark cells
Of her troubled mind
Thought demons haunt her
She weeps all the time
No one can reach out
To meet - console her

She is a prisoner
Of the bad times past
Her mind had rebelled
Her heart was damaged
She was a victim
Having been tortured
By demented men

She is a prisoner
And will remain so
For many years more
Silenced with Prozac
Over-powered by
Her new torturers
Hospital nurses.
