Steps rise and disappear like escalators;
Who is coming to the beach,
The new haven of heavens
Of gay fully brisk operates,
Tiny crabs whispering in the ears of sands
Horses, camels, balloons and kites
All move in colourful zest.

The sky lands on the blue carpet
To the land of humanity,
The temple of wooden deity
Sitting with open hands
Overseeing with round big eyes
To globalise heaven and earth.

Millions of miles sinking in horizon,
Distance fading away making
Far off points so near
Beach views a bridge ahead
                                  promising
Any space reachable,
Waves weaving a dream for such sightseer
Relaxing on a seat of cool sand.

Distance no bar, dream not so far
Earth and heaven mingle ashore
Waves lead like ladder
                to escalate life farther.

(Written after visiting the beautiful beach in Puri of eastern coast of Odisha)
