Utopian Dreams

I had aspired at the dawn of life
To ride on Sun's chariot of fire
I had aspired at the dawn of life
To fly above the seventh heavens.

Had desired to reach sky high
During the zenith of the life
Had a wish to sail on ocean's tides
In one of those adventurous rides.

But this was envisioned not without you
Then in the centre stage of life were you
All this but remained only in my dreams
Like your companionship and love in life.

If I am to narrate my life without you -
It's like a chariot without charioteer
Like a ship at high sea without a sail
Like a swan in flight without its wing.

Someday I may fly through space and time
In my anxiety and eagerness to reach you
Though it may sound strange yet it's true
Then I may turn back without seeing you.
