The Soul Waits

  Walking towards destiny
I experience a waft of breeze
That brings the scents and sounds
Of yesteryear...
Of love and tears
Of the childhood fields
When the first rain touched
The dry earth
Then of the rain
And the rainbow that followed
Of the ties and bonds
Threaded like flowers
In a garland
Of the temple bells
That rang with every wish
Of the heart

The walk continues
While the soul waits
For another breath of life.
