Young and Old

I count the years
I have - to live...

They count the days
They have - to live...

I’m young,
They’re old

Life has a lot
In store for me

Their storage space
Is less…

For me, life goes fast…
For them, life went fast.

How they wish
Life was slow -
And they wouldn’t
Have to go…

(dedicated to my aged parents, the thought of losing them, worries me every day, yet there’s no way I can keep mortality at bay.)
