Your Promise

Beautiful morning dawns
Ever with a new hope
Whether clear or misty
In the vagaries of the day
The evening brings
With every sunset
A promise of a new dawn
Through the silence of night
The days, months and years
Thus keep on passing
Yet to keep promise
You never show up,
Only the memories come.
Through the heat of summer
And the welcome relief of rain
The frosty winter sets in
The spring blossoms to wither
Thus four seasons come
And all seasons change
The cycle continues as ever
Unabated with a precision
Yet to keep promise
You never show up,
Only the memories come.
The mighty sun
Never fails to give life
The beautiful moon
Never loses moonshine
The star studded sky
Never stops its twinkle
In the cosmic milky way
Every celestial phenomenon
Goes on unabated and cyclic
But to keep promise
You never show up,
Only the memories come.

Thanks, Kulbir Ji, I think hope and 'faith' keep present comfortable so 'In another life' is not a bad idea for solace; as such, I am quite fond of your 'four liners'.
