Majestic Gulmohar has started budding again
Blooming in the early summer and monsoon
Gulmohar petals unfold so brightly on trees
It's like a dream and nostalgia of the teenage
Under its canopy, a boy had once confessed
For the girl so pretty, he loved and cherished.

Beautiful flowers blossom with such a grace
Spreading a magical spell all over the place
Serenading with the music of early monsoon
Moist leaflets and petals sparkle and shine
The pinnate foliage sway to the tune of breeze
As if conveying the love, harmony and peace.

The shower of falling flowers on the grass
In a red carpet of petals become my canvas
And a muse to inspire beauty, love and care
And these vivid scarlet and vermilion petals
Are my treasure trove of sights and scents of
Nostalgic memories and moments so tranquil.

(Delonix regia is an ornamental tree with some medicinal value and common English names of Royal Poinciana or Flamboyant. In India, it is known as Gulmohar.)
