Of No Value...

A necklace in a showroom
is no doubt costly,
but is of no value,
invaluable is the neck that wears it;

In poetry, too, it is not the lines,
exquisite metaphors, similes,
sweet rhythms and lovely rhymes
that are magical and of beauty
but the one these are meant for,
a Lucy or a solitary reaper…

Words in hundreds
loads of good wishes
e-mails and sms without counts
do not make one’s day,
but a sweet voice that says
‘I love you’ makes not
just the day but the life!
