Crime and Punishment
by Dr. Jaipal Singh

Once
He had run away
From his life
And discernible duty
Blaming destiny
In an act of cowardice...

On realization,
For his crime
He didn't wait
For a divine trial
And judgement for..
The misdemeanor or misdeed.

Instead
He listened to conscience
And punished himself
For life to live
A cursed and condemned
Till redemption is achieved!
