Rain at Night

I work on my computer
Minutes trudge on;
Books look with pity
Rare visits pathetic.
Whirring fan quietly smiles,
Whiff of fresh air tickles,
Smell of earth soaking in showers
Revives memories of childhood, friends,
All that is gone irretrievably!
Haven’t I braved the scorching sun?
Didn’t I long for a drop of nectar
As deserted roads stretched silently
On many a summer noon?
Freshness blooms aplenty
Having bathed all night.
Diversity creator’s delight!
Rain or shine, life goes on,
Sooner or later, time for a change!

Sony Sai, It is such a refreshing and rejuvenating experience to read your lyrical and exquisitely pictorial poem that the whole of life spent and enjoyed in pleasant and painful yearnings has come alive amidst your swishing, splashing and singing rain. This poem, more than others, brings out the glowing sparks of creativity with harmoniously connected images and smooth and soothing associations with the past. Heartiest congrats and thanx for sharing this intellectual experience wrapped in silken emotions. Regards, Sincerely, RKBhushan
