Theme: Society

Together in Loneliness

Buried are the affections
I heard, between people
Who were once in the past,
Beneath the civilization layers

Running alongside
Effluent wastes that flow
Leaving behind those tall
Concrete trees I go

Start my day amidst
A thousand ‘Golden’ men
Perfectionists at work
Living as aliens in a group

No one ever dares
Even to sit back once
To relax and think
“Where am I?”

And time never stops
Growth has no brakes
No one has regrets
Alone everyone prospers

Why should I forget my origin?
I came here alone, didn’t I?
Leave from here alone, don’t I?
Why then I need you in between?

So, I learn to live alone
No hard feelings, though
I live with you as one
Yes, as just another one

I told myself, I am not alone
With me, in the sky
Wandering was a lone cloud
Above my head

The story of each of us
Alone in this alien world
We still lead our life
Together in loneliness
