  Moonstruck teenagers
Lively, energetic
And innocent ways
Unrestrained rides
On the wings of
Desires and dreams
Those days...

As if destined
Rendezvous they had
Stared and blinked
In moments they shared
Affection and camaraderie
And height of fondness
Among tons of laughter
And fun together
Songs and verses in turn
Exchanged together...

Mutual harmony flew
Friendship grew
Unable to fathom
The silent crusader
Imminent and decisive
Incursion of love
A subtle strife
A prolonged remorse
Inherent conflict of minds
Friendship prevails
Love retreats
In a predicament
For life...

Love was suave
Or timid and meek
Love was generous
Or scared of social
Taboos and barriers
Love was selfish
Or just naive
Remains an enigma
With friends
For life to ponder
Or resolve!
