Lost Years

  Yesterday, in the cold depths of sleep,
I cried your name again.
Echoes of my words floated back;
Through the empty years.

Searching for you, calling for you.

Tonight, in dreams so real, they bleed colour;

You came to me.
You came for me.

In that moment; of a shared silent stare,
Our minds embraced, our memories flared
Into volcanic co-existence and hope found
A home in our hearts.

And the lost years vanished into
The mists of antiquity.
