Music of Love

Destiny had its say way back They couldn't live together But the love that blossomed Enriched his mind and heart. That love taught him in life Altruism, sympathy and empathy Compassion and a lot of patience It conditioned him to do anything That brings happiness for others Even if it may not be in his interest And above all he learnt from love How to give it rather than to take. Even if the devil ever tempts him With any of the forbidden fruits He is able to resist the temptation Without jealousy or possessiveness And the first thought that comes in If he succumbs now and ever sees her How will he face her eye to eye With his corrupt mind and heart.
