  Beneath celestial skies
sentient creatures dwell
cats' claws sink deep
gripping gritty soil
strewn
with shards of shattered
crystal

Limbs thrusting
tensely
forcing forward
upward
still, in the midst of the pinnacle

Chaos
lurid, primitive
amid verdant temptations
weeds, woods, dusk.
Inexplicable.

Sharp-edged gusts herald
the bestial cockatrice
intent to stare
catching the cats' eye reflection
a Cougars kiss of death

Keen sight thrusts open
windows
the soul perceives soundless silence
tranquility
singularity

Extinguishing itself
the cat twines
ascending toward the pinnacle
it rests, agleam
among Sala trees
