With nothing to do,
Walls haunt you,
The day drags,
And time nags.

Moments become long,
Like a replaying song;
Silence becomes loud,
Like a threatening cloud.

Restless is your soul,
Seeking some goal,
Something to pursue,
Something to do.

To overcome ennui,
Something screwy
You do but you forget
Lifelong you’ll regret.

Comment Pl correct spelling of "interesting" gone wrong with my earlier comments, if feasible.

Comment This one is really good and I particularly liked it..all five quatrains submitted with this poem are also quite nteresting!
