In Search of Peace

  “This is your last chance
within you lies the choice,”
Father's words surfaced
in my heart, mind whimpered.
“Do not miss it,
you are fine and fit.”

Am aware that I cannot let go
there’s need to win, cannot lie low.
This, clearly was the acid test
time to rush, not to rest
Here lies another opportunity
to discover the reality.

Where do I start, is there a stop,
fact or fiction, science or myth?
Combing hills in search of gurus
hidden in books the truths?
Brainstormed and ransacked
night followed day until it dawned-

In simplicity lies the discovery
all is within the periphery
contentment and bliss at hand when passive
no need to repent or be pensive
Truth is visible to perceive
when personality ceases to exist....

Comment A deeply philosophical poem that reflects your superb thought process, Hema. Thanks for sharing.

Comment Yes, Hema, when 'personality ceases to exist', then and then only everything else exists! Nice sellf-reflection.
