The garden is alive
With birds tweeting;
Somehow they thrive—
Savor their greeting;
With songs so sweet,
They spread cheer—
What a treat
For all those near!

The garden is alive
With daffodils in bloom;
Somehow they strive
To spread their perfume,
And with a warm hello,
They’re greeting
Each and every fellow
They’re meeting.

The garden is alive,
With squirrels to astound;
Come and derive
Wisdom profound
By watching them play—
They’re never uptight,
And they’ll make your day
By giving you insight.
