A Woman Understands

She knows her man
and nourishes silently her womb,
and man scribbles
dances and twirls about,
and steadily determines
to move into a trap
of joyless pleasures.

He calls her and she listens,
and then abruptly
she calls a halt,
to love and the world
here Man recoils lazily
and woman recollects
and pontificates.

Together they make this world
glowing and dark,
this invariably occurs
when a woman explodes
and man embraces,
in vacuum and vastness
a meaning of life and woman,
a total failure and death in love
an empyrean crevice in eternity,
towards which man had walked
for generations.
