A Poet’s Wife

  Far away from
His poetic world
Of imagination
His dreamy cell
Wherein
Abstruse thoughts
Abstract ideas
All dwell together
To recharge
His poetic self,
She remains
A quintessence-
Perennial poetry
By human continuum
Who celebrates,
Decorates life well
By creating a heaven
Even in a hell….

Away from
His escapist way
Of infusing it
In a realistic mold
With his crafts
And devices
Of artificial grief
And gay gloom
For warmth of heart
In natural cold,
She lives gaily
And regales self
In volatile present
Staring into
All ebbs and tides
Her eventful saga
Unseen, untold
Stuck to her affairs
Maternal,
Household…
She stands
Burns, melts
As a long candle
That embraces
With its lights
A dark tunnel
Of dead nights….

Unlike him
She is diligent
Never lethargic
Unaffected by
His carelessness,
Irresponsibility,
Absent-mindedness,
She is not a poet
She is in fact
A real poetess
In true literature
Of human life
Wherein
She creates
A beautiful poem
In grand form
Of God's children-
Innocent beauty
Of humanity
By her individual
Hard toiled creation-
Taking a step ahead
The cosmic creation
For she is a woman
A very caring mother
And most loving wife
She is a great home maker....
