As the flower could never know
what sweetness it holds within
which the bees find
so hard to resist
who come
gravitating towards
its fragrant petals...

As the moon could never understand
what's so special
about its soothing beams of light
which stir up
the passion of ocean waves
that never stop dancing
when touched by them...

As the mother may never appreciate
the nectarian taste
that she stores in her bosom
that sustains the child
who becomes inconsolable
when deprived of it...

So You could never know,
understand or appreciate
all that is sweet, soothing and sustaining
about You
whom I cannot resist
And whose fragrant soul
my soul allures
