Mini Returns

The lovely little bird
Mini had quietly left one day
Leaving me so depressed
I would never see her again.

Other day, after a long gap
I noticed on my window pane
A familiar perch and flaps
Usual chirps, tweets and song.

In a pleasant surprise to me
Mini had returned back again
Without any complaints or cribs
Same love and bonhomie again.

Happy days are on the anvil
Now every morning she comes
And perches on my right palm
To feed and sing in joyful motion.

Mini gives me a ray of hope
If a tiny bird can so remember
And reciprocate love and care
A lost friend too shall do it for sure.
