Autumn of Life - I

As I step into growing age,
Wading after healthy rungs
Into the world of old phase
With my pale and frail face;
A young Despair gaily hails
My fragile and aging frame
Shrieking, shrinking wrinkled
But I pretend to evade him...

Time seems to be galloping
Swallowing my youthful joy
Along with my sense organs;
They now belie and defy me
In darkness of all rusty dusts
My eyesight appears halved
In hard bows of heavy winds
Growing grudge in the world
Has now silently deafened me
I find myself untimely stopped
Alone on doorstep of Autumn!
