Reflections don’t lie
Yet seen
A stranger I

Where was the beauty
That once was
A gentle face
That held love

No more to see
Love looking back at me
Heart-stricken
And forlorn

To scorn
Dreamy eyes
Despised another free

I see
A face worn
A creature shorn

Heart of stone
Freedom gone
Alone, so alone.
