Eyes That See Do Not Grow Old
|

The Title of this Poem is a Mexican Proverb.
Proverbs that your
Eyes monopolize
Will never reach my text.
Tear swept
And yet smiling
At all edges of life.
Looking and yet
Searching for vision.
I cannot paraphrase
The rising depth
Each time they
Cross my lonely route.
Flood them in drought
Run them dry in falling rain
But give them a color
For me to relate
And write a wordless poem. |
