  He is elusive
To an ordinary soul
Though the philosophers
Say that He is within us

You don’t know
How to satisfy Him
Because the good suffer
While the wicked flourish

Before you feel happy
About anything
He brings you suffering
You won’t get an answer

They say He is
Omnipresent and
Omnipotent yet
Indifferent to injustice

You are not supposed to
Question His existence
He does not like suspects
Favors only surrender

Strange are His
Ways of justice still
Stranger are His ways
Of justifying injustice

I really do not know
He or She
But is less benevolent
More ruthless

Yet everyone goes
To Him for favor
That shows not His power
But how helpless we are
