Bondage

  I was
At peace
Floating along
Like
A paper boat
In the torrent
Of life,
Until
You exploded
Into my being,
Sweeping me away
Like
A postage stamp
In a Gale.

The touch
Of your pliant lips
Holding me
Mesmerized.

Your eyes
Spinning
A gentle web.

The dulcet notes
Of your voice
Enmeshing me
In a collage
Of melody.

Your smile
Shackling me
In eternal captivity.

Without you,
Freedom is
Anathema.

With you,
Bondage is
Utopia.
