Dream With A Difference

You were my best friend ever
For whom so much I love and care.

Yesterday I saw you after ages
Nostalgia back from the memories
Before I could respond or recover
Your head rested on my shoulder.

Neither of us spoke for long...
In the moments of bliss and joy
There was no heartbeat's sound
As if life and time had stopped.

We wanted to speak and talk
We wanted to cry and laugh
We wanted to share and confide
But for the lack of words or voice.

The moment when I recovered
You were nowhere around
Ah! It was a wee hours' dream
But with the difference a lot.
