Life at Stake!!!

It was a bright sunny morning
My mom came running
And asked me
To throw the mouse
That was lying on the couch.
I bravely ran and did so
But I got a slap, Ouch!
As I’d thrown the optical mouse.
It was evening and heavily raining
Dad warned that the window’s open.
So smartly I switched off the PC.
Alas! What I see
Mom and Dad shouting together
When they found
All the mosquitoes had entered.
Sadly, I sat to dine
Suddenly My Bro whispered
He had kit-kat in his new mobile
I jumped and took it away.
He slapped me hard
And said, “It’s the operating system, you nerd.”
Like a wet cat
I went to my room and kept thinking
This is how I make mistakes
And put my Life at stake
So, now I understood
Why life was easier enough
When Blackberry and Apple were fruits. |

That's called a perfect sense of technical humor ! Ananya, it was wonderful to read one of your poems so casually put into stanzas but a thought that is deep ingrained. Keep writing ! Much love.
