  Write on the breeze
Name of the breeze
As greetings from this unknown stranger.
In whose name, and for whom is it
O birdie, your melodious song?

When sunlight fell on the branch
To have its friendly touch
The evening jumped down
Smiled, and invitingly gestured
It keeps playing with the dawn here.
On the breeze write…

The playful flowing water
Forgetting its normal course
Lies, as if it is flashing a mirror
To throw sunlight on the flowers
These are naive faces with innocent name.
On the breeze write…

(This is based on and almost a translation of a song of the famous poet and lyricist Gulzar who wrote this for an old Bollywood film 'Do Dooni Chaar'. I have been very fascinated with the lyrics of this song since early age; so this one is as a mark of respect for the poet)
