Love Thyself

I crave for your sublime touch
But you think of someone else as much.
He claims to love a celestial beauty
But she is somewhat distant and snooty.
She wants a strapping god to adore
But he does not want her anymore.

All of us are chasing a luscious dream
Beguiling our honest self-esteem.

Why must we light a lonely fire
For some unattainable desire,
When we can just be content
With a small selfish intent,
Of dearly loving our life
In the midst of daily strife.
