Theme: Waiting

She Waited

Wearing a brand new black top and long skirt,
Doing on the neck two-hearts designed tattoo art,
Applying pink-colored strawberry-flavored lip balm,
She waited for him impatiently, but he didn’t come!

Bathed in morning fresh rose water, honey and milk,
Her long burgundy tresses, shiny, lustrous, soft as silk,
Her body soaked in the fragrance of cherry blossom,
She waited for him desperately, but he didn’t come!

Desires of her love burning like moths on a flame,
Every minute her soul kept uttering only his name,
With mascara smudged in moments so lonesome,
She waited for him teary-eyed, but he didn’t come!

Comment Great poem on yearning... what a lovely picture you have painted Rupa for the ''birohini'' !! Great is your pen and greater is your narration of a beautiful maiden suffering from the pangs of separation. You are a lovely poet, my dear friend
