Hoping Against Hope

A theist by descent
And puritanical rites
Atheist by reasoning
And karmic actions

Struggling between
Belief and disbelief
And everlasting dilemma
Between mind and heart

He is hoping against hope
For an opportune moment
For his long lost companion
To arrive making his day.
