Space ships he bore with graceful amity,
Loss of distinction with quiet dignity.
Once romanced, he has lost his standing
After man's famous, historic 'landing'.
"Crater-filled, lifeless, devoid of glamour..."
Earthlings create such a din and clamor!
Global warming, greenhouse effects, they scream
To save our earth, of the moon we must dream
Let us take our lunar conquest ahead
Let us take our industries there, they said.
Last night I saw the moon shrink in fear,
I think he knew his doomsday was near!
