Vasant Panchami

The day marks the end of
Prolonged winter blues
It's an occasion to flaunt
Our clothes in yellow hues.

An auspicious day to worship
Divine Goddess Saraswati
And share yellow sweets
On happy Vasant Panchami.

Comment Jaipal Singh Ji,You are a mature poet and write
mostly on our indian culture.I was busy in Gram
panchayat elections which are performing these
days in Rajasthan. To open and read your poem
on Vasant Panchami I felt nice after a long time.
A fragrance of divine love for goddess Sarswati
has released in this poem everywhere. I also a
keen devotee of this goddess.A lot of thanks for
nice presentation and nice image. With Regards.

Comment Thank you, Kulbirji. I am sure you may be aware, unlike US where April marks the arrival of Spring, it comes early in India and Vasant Panchami is also symbolic to arrival of Spring.
